Industry Statistics

Candidates with a certification or a master's degree – particularly those with a concentration in human resource management or an MBA – have the best job prospects. According to Salary.com, in 2023, the median annual salary of human resource managers was $128,032. The employment of human resources managers is also expected to grow by 6% over the next 8 years, creating over 10,000 new positions by 2029. Therefore, professionals with advanced degrees and a solid background in human resource programs, policies, and employment law should have better job opportunities (Occupational Handbook, Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Academic Experience in the MSHRM Program

Reaching the C Suite is not small feet. Jason Williams, a successful HR executive, was already a VP of HR when he enrolled in FIU's Master's in Human Resource Management. The program exposed him to different HR challenges, perspectives, and industries. All this wealth of knowledge prepared him for the next step in his career: Chief Human Resource Officer.
