Tang receives “30 Under 40” honor from National Investor Relations Institute.

(June 9, 2021) Minye (Michael) Tang, assistant professor of accounting, has been named to the the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) 2021 class of “30 Under 40,” which honors talented young individuals in the investor relations community.

Tang is the sole full-time academic faculty member among the distinguished group of 30 professionals to be selected for the honor by the committee of NRI Fellows. His research focuses on the interactions between managers and capital market participants (such as financial analysts) in communicating financial information, with particular interests in the uncertainty aspect, the multi-period process, and the human factor, that jointly shape earnings expectations.

Founded in 1969, NIRI is the professional association of corporate officers and investor relations consultants responsible for communication among corporate management, shareholders, securities analysts and other financial community constituents, and is the largest professional investor relations association in the world. The “30 Under 40” program recognizes young professionals who have made noticeable contributions to their companies, NIRI chapters and the capital markets.
