Haar selected for Fulbright screening panel.

Jerry Haar

(June 9, 2021) Jerry Haar, professor of international business, has been invited by the Institute of International Education (IIE) to serve on the National Screening Committee for research and study proposals in Business for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The IIE annually administers the competition for the Fulbright program, sponsored by the United States Department of State in partnership with foreign governments and universities. The Fulbright offers recent graduates and graduate students opportunities for research, study or teaching assistantships in over 140 countries.

Haar is a global fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C., and a research affiliate of the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University. He has served as director of Washington Programs for the Council of the Americas, and served as special assistant to two cabinet secretaries. The author of 12 books and numerous journal articles, Haar has also held visiting appointments at Wharton, Harvard, Oxford, Stanford and the American Enterprise Institute.
