FIU Business Sponsors and Presents Doctoral Awards at Latin American Business and Economics Conference

(April 12, 2019) As an institutional member of BALAS (Business Association of Latin American Studies), FIU Business sponsored two doctoral student awards for the BALAS Annual Conference held in Lima, Peru April 10 - 12. Jerry Haar, FIU Business professor of international business and a BALAS fellow, presented the Award for Best Doctoral Presentation to two students during the conference, which draws scholars from around the world.

Founded in 1989, BALAS is the first academic association to focus exclusively on business and economics in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition to its annual conference, BALAS produces special edition publications, doctoral consortia, case studies and awards programs.
