Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Online Program with Project ComponentFrequently Asked Questions

FIU Executive Education offers non-credit certificate programs that allow business professionals to continue their professional development. At the conclusion of the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt online training, you will receive a certification from the online vendor, GoLeanSixSigma. Upon successful completion of the project component of the program, you will receive an FIU Certificate. FIU Executive Education programs do not award college credits and may not be taken as part of a current academic program in which you may be enrolled. The registration and payment for FIU Executive Education programs are done directly through our website. Programs taken through FIU Executive Education will not appear on MyFIU and will not appear on an FIU transcript. In addition, you will not need to apply through the university as a whole.

Once the participant has received final approval of the project storyboard, the FIU Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification will be shared with the participant digitally and mailed via FedEx within 30 days.

Yellow Belt Certification is a mandatory pre-requisite to register for the Green Belt program. Aside from this certification, there are no other requirements such as test scores, transcripts, and GPA requirements.

Registration is relatively simple, in that you are registering directly for our certificate program and do not need to register through the university as a whole. To register for a particular program, please click on the “Register Now” link on the specific program’s webpage.

Our programs do not charge an additional application fee. However, during the time of registration, a non-refundable down payment is required to hold your spot within the program. Specific information on the down payment for a particular program can be located under the “Schedule & Registration” and “Policies” section of the program webpage.

Through taking a non-credit certificate program, participants will not be official students in the sense that they will not be awarded a “Panther ID” number nor Student ID. Participants will not be unable to access the FIU Library, FIU Gym, and other similar amenities.

International students are more than welcome to enhance their professional development by attending FIU Executive Education programs. Considering that this program is an online, non-credit certificate program, our programs are available to international participants.

Within 48 business hours after payment for the program has been received, an email will be sent containing your access code for the program. This email communication will come from "systems@litmos.com," with a subject line titled "GoLeanSixSigma.com Login Information." Please keep in mind, since this is not coming from an FIU email address, it may be sent to your spam or junk folder.

The program coordinator (PC) is your primary point of contact for any program-related issues/concerns. Communication can be through phone or email. The PC will help participants with areas such as registration, payments, invoices and verification letters. The PC will also assist with other issues that may arise by either serving as a liaison or directing the participant to the appropriate contact. Also, the PC will provide administrative support for the program. Should you have any questions before, during or after the program, please do not hesitate to contact our program coordinator for Open Enrollment Programs directly.

Participants may retake the certification exam multiple times to ensure the successful completion of the program.
