Program Fee

The program fee is $3,500.

To ensure that participants receive materials in time for the first day of class, registration should be completed two weeks prior to course beginning. Registrations that occur later may result in the participant not receiving materials until after the first day of class and/or incurring a $100 materials delivery fee.

  • FIU and/or Georgetown University employees, alumni, and students
  • Companies who are enrolling 3 or more oftheir employees in a program.

FIU and Georgetown University employees, alumni, or students who are requesting a discount must enroll with their university email address and actively use it during the duration of the program.

Payment Policy

  • A non-refundable down payment of $500 is required during registration to guarantee your spot in the program
  • The remaining balance due is to be paid in full by September 2, 2019
  • Late registrants will be charged an additional $100 on their program invoice

Substitution Policy

Qualified substitutes for participants can be accommodated with written notice by September 2, 2019. Florida International University (FIU) may, in its sole discretion, permit the substitution at no additional charge if the candidate is qualified.

Withdrawal Policy

All program withdrawal requests must be received in writing.

Due to costs associated with establishing, holding, and replacing participant slots the following guidelines will be implemented:

  • Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to a program's start date will incur a charge of 10 percent of the full tuition
  • Cancellations received 30 to 14 days prior to a program's start date will be charged 50 percent of the full tuition of the program
  • Cancellations received less than 14 days prior to a program's start date will be charged 100 percent of the full tuition

*If a registrant fails to attend without notification, or if a withdrawal occurs on or after a program start date, full tuition will be forfeited.

If Florida International University and Georgetown University cancel a program due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive a refund of any tuition paid, or be allowed to move their registration to a future running of the program. Refunds from cancelled programs can also be applied to other open-enrollment programs.

Please note that in all situations, participants are responsible for their travel and Florida International University and Georgetown University cannot reimburse for any travel expenses that may have been incurred.

Certificate of Completion Requirements

A Florida International University and Georgetown University Certificate of Completion will be awarded to each participant on the last session of the program. To be eligible for a Florida International University and Georgetown University Certificate of Completion, a participant must satisfy program's attendance policy. Successful completion of the program is contingent upon attending all the program sessions in both Miami, FL and Washington, D.C. With reasonable, advance notice and the approval of the program administrators, a participant may be excused from a session for reasons of a personal nature. Each participant is responsible for abiding to the attendance policy. Participation in class is important for the learning process and success in the program.

Florida International University Hurricane Policy

During hurricane season we will follow the University’s policy. Should the University be closed for any reason, sessions will be cancelled. The Office of Executive & Professional Education will attempt to communicate it to the participants. Participants should also check the FIU emergency website at or call (305) FIU-Help (305-348-4357) or 800-FIU-4911 for the latest update. Participants can also sign up for emergency text messaging alerts at the FIU homepage.
