Business Career ManagementStaff

John serves as Director for Business Career Management bringing with him over 13 years of recruitment and talent management experience. He is responsible for developing new relationships with companies that might have an interest in establishing a college relations/college recruiting program with the College of Business.  John has a BBA from FIU, an M.S. in Health Services Administration from Barry University, and his Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) certification.

Elise serves as the Associate Director for Business Career Management. Having over 20 years experience in education, Elise works with Business Career Management Assistant Directors in providing programming and advising services to undergraduate students and alumni.  She counsels undergraduate Finance and Real Estate students/alumni and assists them with their career development.  Additionally, she provides advising support for MBA/MS students and alumni.  Elise earned both her BBA in Management and M.S. in Educational Leadership (Human Resource Development Track) from FIU.

Cristina serves as an Assistant Director for Business Career Management. With her over 8 years of experience in higher education, Cristina oversees career development for online students; specifically in Master programs. Additionally, she provides technical and curriculum support for Business Career Management courses both for in-person and online renditions. Cristina has earned both her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from FIU.

Ashley serves as an Assistant Director for Business Career Management contributing over ten years of experience in graduate business student success. She primarily counsels MBA/MIB students and alumni to help them achieve their career goals. Ashley earned both her B.A. in Theater Performance and M.S. in Marketing from FIU.

Sammi serves as an Assistant Director, bringing over five years of corporate recruiting experience and human resource development experience. She oversees career development for students and alumni of the School of Accounting and Marketing undergrads.  She also manages employer relations for organizations seeking to hire in those areas, event and program planning for all College of Business students, and analyzing/reporting data gathered through the College of Business placement survey completed by students upon graduation. Sammi earned a B.S. from Minnesota State University-Moorhead, an M.S. in Human Resources Management from FIU, and a Senior Professional Human Resources Certification from the HR Certification Institute.

Grace is an Assistant Director for the Undergraduate Programs. She is primarily responsible for working with undergraduate students majoring in Management, Human Resources, and the Professional BBA program. Grace earned both her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from FIU.

Denise serves as the Database/Corporate Relations Coordinator for Business Career Management bringing with her over seven years of experience in customer service, sales, and operations. She is responsible for developing employer relationships, approving job postings, and coordinating the schedules for employers seeking to conduct on campus interviews and information sessions. Denise earned her BBA degree in Marketing from FIU.

Naomi serves the FIU College of Business Business Career Management team by executing the financial responsibilities of the department. Develops annual budget, generates travel authorizations, expense reports and requisitions, performs procurement card reconciliation and overseas funds including Auxiliary and Foundation. Contributing over nine years of professional administrative experience with FIU, she collaborates with vendors and stakeholders to assist with the organization of successful programming. Naomi earned a BS in Biomechanics and Physics from the University of Michigan (UofM), and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University in Saint Louis (WashU).
