Industry Night provides lively setting to learn about jobs.
Industry Night, a mini-career fair for students interested in a variety of positions within different industries, occurs twice a year. Organized by the FIU Accounting Association (FIU-AA), the spring session will take place February 22, 2006, in the GC Ballrooms beginning at 7:00 p.m. Accounting, finance, and marketing students are especially urged to attend, though students in any major will find valuable information about the kinds of positions industries are looking to fill. A variety of companies, accounting firms, and organizations participate. Representatives make short presentations, then attendees give out their resumes and ask questions. Based on their networking efforts at the event, many students will get job, internship, or scholarship offers, or invitations to professional functions at the companies.
