Co-winner of “The Intern” competition lands internship.

Accounting major Lemen McCray, who along with MarkElbadramany, an international business and finance major, won the “The Intern” competition, has received a summer internship offer in the tax division at Ernst & Young in Fort Lauderdale. He also has received two job offers in New York City: one from Ernst & Young and the other from Deloitte.

“The competition gave me motivation and drive, and it inspired me,” McCray said. He also won $1,000 from IBM, money he’ll use to help pay for his college loans.
The competition, which was based on the Reality TV Series “The Apprentice,” included three events: resume and interview critique, dress for success, and power networking.
“I thought the resume evaluation was most valuable, and also was where a lot of contestants might have gone wrong,” McCray said. “The resume makes the first impression, and once you get in the door, in some ways, you’ve already been accepted.”
