GET INVOLVED

Showcase or improve your organizational talents and reap the rewards.

The College offers many outlets for you to help run an organization. And there are lots of payoffs: friendships, fun, interactions with professionals who can help your career, and even access to administrators. Check out the choices at http://business.fiu.edu/web/studentorgs.htm.

All the leaders of the College's student organizations are members of the Business Student Council (BSC). They meet regularly with each other and with the Executive Dean, among others, to share information and to ensure that ideas and concerns flow from students to decision-makers.

Members produce joint programs as well as the International BizFest. This exciting event provides a lively setting in which every organization involved in the Council recruits new members while celebrating the international diversity of our student body. These recruitment efforts can really pay off, as the Financial Management Association (FMA) learned when it received an award for its success in growing the chapter (see related story).

BSC meetings take place the first Wednesday of every month at 3:30 p.m. in RB 380.
