LEASA announces new president/COO: Andrew Yap.

Andrew P. Yap (BBA'91; MBA '97), well known to the students and faculty in the College, has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of LEASA Industries Co., Inc.—a family owned business that is Florida's largest grower of bean and alfalfa sprouts and one of its largest tofu manufacturers. He has previously served as the company's marketing director, vice president of marketing, and senior vice president.

Yap teaches marketing and management in the College. Among his plans in his new position: to grow the $5.4 million business, which has recently added a line of soy cookies to its product mix, into a world class organization with international distribution and global recognition, and to write and publish textbooks in the areas of small business marketing and management.
