Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame honors spirit of entrepreneurship. On May 12, 2005, the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Luncheon will honor a number of individuals who embody the idea of entrepreneurship. This year's inductees are Agustin "Tino" Herrán (BBA '91), president of Sedanos Supermarket/president of General Real Estate Corporation, and Larry Harris (BS '81), founder of Pollo Tropical and chairman and CEO of New Spanish Concepts, LLC.
Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame 2004 Jorge de Céspedes and Carlos de Céspedes, founders of the Pharmed Group, will receive the 2005 South Florida Entrepreneur(s) of the Year Award, and Dr. Sandford Ziff, founder of Sunglass Hut/CEO Ziff Plaza Associates, will be the recipient of a special Lifetime Achievement Award. The event, which will take place at The Parrot Jungle, also will recognize winners of the Howard J. Leonhardt New Venture Challenge, a student business plan competition.
