NEWS OF NOTE

College launches MBA in Downtown Miami.

Same great degree. Same great faculty. Great new location.

That's what the new Downtown MBA has to offer, starting in fall, 2005. In May, the downtown location will offer pre-core courses for those who need them in order to begin their MBA in the fall.

The new location will make it easier for people who work or live downtown-or nearby areas-to complete their graduate coursework. Since time-to-degree is vital for working professionals, the program has been designed to be intense, with two courses per eight-week session, compressing the MBA curriculum into a mere eighteen months. Classes will take place twice weekly, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. To add to the convenience: books, dinner, and parking will be provided, and the courses have been pre-selected so students do not have to worry that a course will not be available when they need it.

Area business people are being introduced to the program at a series of breakfasts with Chapman Graduate School of Business Dean José de la Torre.

Plans are underway to expand the offerings at the downtown site with the addition of the Executive Master of Science in Taxation and the Master of Science in Finance.
