IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

2005 Johnson & Johnson Business Case Competition kicks off February 17.

Ever wonder how your accounting, finance, and marketing skills could be applied in the real world? Do you like working with a team to solve problems? Are you looking for more opportunities to get exposure to a prospective employer?

If so, the 2005 Johnson & Johnson Business Case Competition, which will be kicked off on Thursday, February 17, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. in the FIU Faculty Club, may be the perfect opportunity for you. In the Competition, teams of students work together to solve a case question by developing an in-depth financial and market analysis based on an actual case the company faced. Teams compete against each other in a presentation-style format before FIU faculty and representatives from Johnson & Johnson. The winning team then will travel to Johnson & Johnson's headquarters in New Brunswick, New Jersey, on April 13 and 14 for the opportunity to compete on a national level with teams from other universities.

Last year, FIU's Accounting Association team won not only the local but the national competition as well, triumphing over teams from such schools as Wharton, Rutgers, Lehigh, Lasalle, Villanova and the University of Illinois, among others.
