2005 BizFest promises club membership, food, and fun with an international flare.

BizFest showcases organizations and provides entertainment for students campus-wide, as seen in the 2004 event.

Plans are underway for the 2005 International BizFest, a third-year celebration of global inclusion and the College's growing student organizations. Set for January 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Ryder Building's South lawn, the event will spotlight the many and varied student groups the College embraces. Each will sponsor an individual booth and help meld and stage the event through committee participation.

Last year, membership for most organizations rocketed by at least 15 percent.

"We're looking to innovate and expand a little this year, to bring something fresh," Judy-Ann Allen, president of the American Marketing Association, said. "It's a growing experience-with some teamwork, a little stress, and a lot of fun."

One new aspect this year means drawing more of the College's business partners to the scene. Committees are hoping the commercial interests will open international food stands or mini job-fair booths. The College's new undergrad career and internship counselor, Michael Potoczniak, has volunteered to head corporate participation. If you know of a company that might want to participate, contact Potoczniak. If you're a student or part of an organization that wants to get on board, contact William Levin, the Dean's liaison to the Business Student Council.
