Internships available in nation's capital.

You could be one of about 3,000 interns placed in Washington, DC, in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars offers internship programs that enable you to get academic credit from FIU. Application deadlines vary, but the program features are pretty much the same: a 4 to 4 ½ day/week internship, academic course, Congressional Breakfast Series, Presidential Lecture Series, Embassy Visit Program, small group discussions and professional workshops, internship portfolio, and housing and student life services. Students in all majors are eligible to apply. The Center also offers more than a dozen programs to provide students with in-depth exposure to subject matter knowledge on topics ranging from the NAFTA Leaders program to the Ronald H. Brown Program for International Commercial Diplomacy and Politics.
