New Faculty:

Dr. Randy Anderson boasts some hefty achievements.

What do writing, lecturing, and weightlifting have in common? They're all interests of Dr. Randy Anderson, who has joined the College as a Ryder Eminent Scholar and professor of Real Estate/Finance. He'll work closely with John Zdanowicz, director of the Jerome Bain Real Estate Institute, to develop the undergraduate curriculum and the graduate program. Dr. Anderson comes to the sunny south from Baruch College, the City University of New York, where he was William Newman Chair of Real Estate Finance and Academic Director of the William Newman Real Estate Programs. Among his impressive list of accomplishments: He's published more than 40 articles in academic and industry publications, received top teaching evaluations in the economics and finance department at Baruch College, and been a Distinguished Lecturer at Johns Hopkins University and Harvard University.

Dr. Gary Hunter tackles marketing and more.

Ph.D,.P&G, and KFC are just some of the initials associated with Gary K. Hunter, a new assistant professor in the Department of Marketing. Hunter holds a Ph.D. from Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina. Most recently, he's been an assistant professor of marketing in the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, an appointment he's held since completing his doctorate. As an academic, he has had a brisk publishing career, given many presentations at conferences, and gotten very high marks from students. He also has extensive real-world experience, having logged ten years with the U.S. Army, Procter & Gamble (P&G), and KFC (Division of PepsiCo). While holding these positions, he's tackled everything from strategic planning, leadership, marketing, key account management and business development to sales, recruitment, training, technology, and operations management.
