Dean’s Alumni Circle and Dean’s Council come together to celebrate joint 10th anniversary.

Current and previous members of the College of Business Administration’s Dean’s Alumni Circle and Dean’s Council gathered to toast past accomplishments—with a nod to a shared vision for the future at Florida International University (FIU).

“Are You Ready?” College Summit opens doors to the possibilities at FIU.

Things started on a high note for the 350 students from 13 South Florida high schools who arrived at Florida International University (FIU) on October 5th for the recent College Summit—thanks to the welcoming beat of tunes from Y100, Miami’s hit music station.

The Mentoring Program at the College of Business Administration is being  re-launched through the efforts of the Dean’s Alumni Circle— an execution focused advisory board consisting of a passionate group of leaders and experienced alumni with the ability to make a difference for FIU Business Students.

President Rosenberg’s goals for FIU have been laid out and the Alumni Circle  is poised to lead President Rosenberg’s call to action.  By energizing tomorrow’s business leaders todaythe Mentoring Program will address the President’s goals in three areas:

  • Helping to energize and grow the alumni network by providing an opportunity for our alumni to impact the education and lives of our students
  • Helping to enhance learning via exposure to the business world and specific industry knowledge through the mentor/mentee relationship, while providing internship opportunities as well
  • Helping to affect the “time to degree” by those Business students who may be at risk of dropping out or extending their educational program. Working with minority students via this program also will impact minority graduation rate disparities.

Requirements:

  • Student must be a fully admitted Junior or Senior at the College of Business Administration
