Management Major

The management major seeks to provide undergraduate students with a broad overview of organizational management. It offers a flexible program of courses that emphasizes the most current knowledge in the profession.

Students can select a general Management major or choose to pursue the major with either an Entrepreneurship Track, Green Management Track, or Leadership and Change Management Track.

Learning Goals

After completing your BBA with a major in Management, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of how to carry out the planning function of management.
  • Demonstrate understanding of how to carry out the organizing function of management.
  • Formulate ways to carry out the controlling function in organizations.
  • Identify ways to fulfill the leadership function of management.
  • Explain how linking the organizational social practices to the community is ultimately advantageous.

Degree Requirements

  • 60 credits of lower division course work including business pre-core courses.
  • 60 credits of upper division course work, including business core courses, international business major courses, and upper division business electives.
  • Management major courses require a grade of "C" or higher.
