Recent Trips
Updates on the December trip to Dubai will be here soon!
Most recently, undergraduate students from CBA have had the opportunity to take a short term trip to Europe and the Mediterranean. Read about their experience below:
In June, Doreen Gooden organized a study abroad program on a cruise ship. Below is a summary of their amazing experience.
“The study abroad program began with a three day visit to Rome, where we visited the American University of Rome and had a guest lecture on “Italian Business Practices” by Professor Aldo Patania. We also visited Wyeth Pharmaceutical Company and had presentations on “Wyeth’s key success factors”. Cultural sites including St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistene Chapel, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain were also visited.
We then embarked on a 7 day Eastern Mediterranean Cruise, with Port calls in Sicily, Athens, Ephesus and Crete. At each port of call, we had cultural visits and in Athens we visited the United States Embassy for a lecture on “Doing Business in Greece”. In Ephesus, we visited Ege Ports and there we received a lecture on the operations of the port and the strategies used in enabling the Kusadasi port to be the most popular cruise port in the Mediterranean.
While on board the ship we had presentations from the Captain, the Hotel Manager, and the Marketing and Revenue Manager. Each presenter gave an overview of his role and the logistics of operating a cruise ship.”
