Jessica Ford started her career in 1997 after graduating from Coventry University (United Kingdom) in Business and Personnel. She has held varied positions with international companies initially focusing on Call Center Management moving into the Heavy Duty Trucking Industry in 2002 when she joined the AB Volvo Group working for Volvo Truck and Bus UK Ltd. Her first role in the company was overseeing the national call center for Volvo Parts providing 24/7/365 emergency services to the heavy duty vehicle community. This position then led her to an international transfer to the USA in 2005 where she specialized in Quality Management for Volvo Parts North America in its Volvo Action Service Division, including management responsibility for the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 certifications. In 2007 she moved to Volvo Logistics North America to work as the Operational Development and Core Values Manager overseeing 16 locations across North America for the Quality, Environment and Safety and Security Compliance for the group working closely with the Global Core Values organization based in Sweden. Since joining Volvo Logistics, Jessica has been working closely with the contracting team to ensure the carriers they use are compliant to ISO 14001 and / or the Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay program – encouraging and challenging them to be more environmentally aware in their businesses to ultimately reduce the carbon footprint of Volvo Logistics North America. |
