Jeff Cook
Burger King

Jeff is a career foodservice professional who by his own admission has roots as a "metal banger". He has over 25 years experience on the equipment manufacturing side of the business having roles of increasing responsibility ranging from engineering, to general management and mergers and acquisitions in companies that include Vulcan Hart, Enodis and Maytag.

He is one of only a few in the industry who has made a successful transition from the supplier to the customer. He now heads global equipment development and sustainability for Burger King Corporation where he is changing the philosophy of equipment development in the QSR industry. His balanced approach to utilizing innovation to both increase restaurant profitability while jointly improving the Burger King environmental footprint has led him to look differently at the design and supply of equipment. He calls it "Rightsizing" equipment and the philosophy is simple: Equipment should be designed to meet the needs of the application and not oversized, over complicated or overpriced. While this philosophy may not apply to all sectors of the market it has proven successful for Burger King where Jeff has spearheaded a new broiling platform development that has resulted in over 50% reduction in capital cost and over 45% reduction in energy consumption.

Jeff resides in Coral Springs Florida with his wife Robin.
