Robert is the Director of Florida International University's Office of Executive & Professional Education, responsible for development, promotion, and delivery of non-degree educational programs within the College of Business Administration to individuals, corporations and government agencies throughout South Florida and Latin America. He has been a faculty member at Barry University, the University of Miami, and Nova Southeastern University. Robert is a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and Founder of the Latin American HR Forum. He is a board member of the Greater Miami Society for Human Resource Management, the International Kids Fund and the Latin Quarter Development Council.
Roberta Kressel, SPHR
Roberta Kressel is currently the EVP, Human Resources at BankUnited, a position she has held since January 2003. In that role she is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and administrative oversight for all people oriented activities within the organization including, recruiting, staffing, on-boarding, training and development, employee relations, affirmative action programs, compensation and incentives, payroll and benefits. BankUnited employs 1200 people with 85 branch offices in Florida and mortgage loan officers in various states.
She is a past President of the Greater Miami Society for Human Resources, is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce where she also serves as Chairperson of the Education Committee and is the liaison from the Chamber to the Miami Dade County Public School Ethics Advisory Committee. Roberta has also been involved with United Way in a variety of leadership roles and is currently a member of the Finance Committee.
Roberta received her Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Florida and has a Masters in Counseling from Florida International University.
Kristofer Cooper, SPHR
Kristofer brings over 20 years of progressive HR and learning experiences from Fortune 500 organizations. Most recently, Kristofer led the Recruitment and Talent Management functions at Burger King Corporation. In this role, he held global human resources accountability for management development, succession planning, core skills development, diversity management, executive feedback/coaching as well as staffing, leadership, and executive learning. He supported global growth for Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific. As a high potential, he took on an expat assignment for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa division. In this role, he integrated and built an HR function. He also co-led the team to move the European headquarters to Zug, Switzerland which positioned the organization for substantial tax savings. He designed and recommended a shared-service center for HR transactions. Kristofer also built and led the Human Resources infrastructure for the Merger and Acquisition process which enabled the organization to bring over $ 300 million and 250 restaurants into the portfolio.
He has been a member of Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and Human Resources Planning Society (HRPS). He has given numerous presentations on strategic planning, human resources, and economics. He is certified in numerous coaching, instructional design, and strategic planning tools.
Kristofer obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Capital University in 1996. He also graduated with honors from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Once you have registered, you will receive an email confirming your place in the program.
Registration and Withdrawal Policies
Payment Policy: Program fees are due in full upon acceptance into the program.
Substitution Policy: Qualified substitutes for participants can be accommodated with advance written notice.
Withdrawal Policy: Due to costs associated with establishing, holding, and replacing participant slots, the following guidelines will be implemented:
- 1 week prior the program: the participant will be charged 50% of the program fee.
- 2 - 4 weeks prior the program: the participant will be charged 25% of the program fee.
- The remainder of the above mentioned will be transferred to another program upon receipt of written notice.
