Robert Reisert, accounting teacher at Coral Gables High School, has many students who want to be stock brokers, investment bankers, fund managers or other financial industry professionals, Reisert wanted to enhance the curriculum by bringing his students for training on the Bloomberg terminals after he participated in the Academy of Finance I Am C2 College and Career Ready Conference hosted by FIU and the National Academy Foundation.

In addition to our sponsorships of such ventures as World City Business Connexions, a monthly forum for international executives, our South Florida CEO Speakers’ series, and educational activities delivered by our centers of excellence, we actively initiate and coordinate various outreach efforts to involve our students, faculty, and alumni with various constituents throughout the region.
Among the most prominent of these are our Civic Engagement Initiative, which involves a variety of programs, and our Wertheim Lecture Series.
