An internship is any carefully monitored work or service situation in which a student sets and follows intentional learning goals and reflects actively on what she or he is learning throughout the experience. An internship is usually a career-related work experience completed prior to graduation.

To begin using our internship services, you must be registered in CBA Career Link.

Our office offers guidance in determining the type of internship that will best meet your needs and help you develop your career plan.

Some characteristics of our internships include

  • a duration of anywhere from a month to a year, although a typical experience is one semester (15 weeks)
  • performed any time of the year: summer, fall, or spring
  • generally a one-time experience
  • generally paid positions for graduate students. Compensation is determined by the company and based on each student's education and experience levels
  • done as part of the individual’s advancement and not for academic credit unless required by a specialized degree program such as an International MBA
  • an effort is made to establish a reasonable balance between the intern’s learning goals and the specific work an organization requires
  • promote academic, career and personal development

At the end of the internship, you are required to complete an Employer Feedback Form.
