Alexander Soria, FLMI

Alex Soria is one of the founding Members of RBS Re. Prior to RBS Re, Alex was an employee of Alden Risk Management Services, a division of John Alden Life Insurance Company. Alex joined Alden Risk Management Services in June 1988, as a Financial Analyst. In 1990, he became ARMS' first Reinsurance Manager with responsibility for negotiating, placing and administering all retrocessional reinsurance arrangements for all of ARMS product lines. In November of 1992, he became Executive Director in the New Ventures unit where he assumed responsibility for one of ARMS four product lines. Alex developed the second most profitable business unit in ARMS, and helped make ARMS a leading provider of reinsurance protection to HMOs and other Managed Care Organizations. Ultimately, Alex became Vice President of the Managed Health Reinsurance department. Prior to joining Alden Risk Management Services, Alex worked for Hilton Hotels Corporation as Assistant Comptroller for a period of 5 years.
Alex attended Florida International University and holds a BBA in Finance. In addition, the Life Office Management Association recognizes him as a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI). Alex and his family reside in South Florida. |
