Robert is the Director of Florida International University’s Office of Executive & Professional Education, responsible for development, promotion, and delivery of non-degree educational programs within the College of Business Administration to individuals, corporations and government agencies throughout South Florida and Latin America. He brings a wealth of experience in the fields of sales and marketing, operations, human resources, training and development, leadership consulting, health care administration, and diversity. Robert has worked with executive teams in international banking, financial services, automotive, pharmaceutical, hospitality, medical, and transportation/logistics. He is tenacious at securing customer loyalty and forging strong relationships with business partners throughout the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
Prior to joining FIU, Robert was Senior Vice President, Global Accounts at Lee Hecht Harrison, the global leader in human capital solutions, maximizing organizational success through services that connect people to work, increase career effectiveness and develop superior leaders. He was responsible for the strategic management process to achieve market growth and provide human capital solutions to global companies throughout the world.
Robert was also with ADP where he established a corporate university and provided human resource solutions to executive teams. Prior to that, he was an executive at United Healthcare, where he created management development programs and managed multi-specialty medical centers. He has also conducted research and published articles in the fields of Pediatrics & Psychology.
He has been a faculty member at Barry University, the University of Miami, and Nova Southeastern University. Robert is a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and Founder of the Latin American HR Forum. He is a board member of the Greater Miami Society for Human Resource Management, the International Kids Fund and the Latin Quarter Development Council.
Robert obtained a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University in 1997. He is a distinguished graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
He has been interviewed for his perspective on business and career management by CNN, CBS, The Sun Sentinel, the Business Journal, World City and Proyección Humana. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he is a frequent guest speaker, having presented throughout the world, most recently at the National Urban League, Human Resource World Congress, Latin American Personnel Association, and SHRM Leadership Conference.
