Lance A. Benson     Member as of March, 2005

Grubb & Ellis Company

Lance A. Benson is Vice President of the Grubb & Ellis Company in South Florida. Mr. Benson’s advises both local and national companies in developing and implementing strategic real estate plans, business strategy, consulting, emergency preparation, and real estate portfolio and transaction management.  Mr. Benson’s formal education and experience in engineering provides his clients with a unique process oriented business first approach to maximize the impact to their businesses.

With over eleven years in field of real estate, Mr. Benson has based his career on developing relationships with many various types of corporations and industries including the areas finance, transportation, technology, logistics,  professional services, and entertainment.

Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis, Mr. Benson spent six years as Associate Director with Cushman & Wakefield and four years with Johnson Controls’ construction advisory practice.

Mr. Benson holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master's in Businesses Administration from Florida International University. He has completed his Engineer In Training (EIT) designation in the state of North Carolina and is expected to graduate with his Masters of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) in 2008 through the CoreNet Global organization.

Mr. Benson currently serves as President of South Florida Chapter of the Achilles Track Club, a nonprofit that encourages people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics.
