PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Prior to joining Florida International University, Dr. Sbaraglia was a doctoral student at Penn State. His dissertation is titled, “Accrual Information and Insider Trading: An Empirical Analysis.” He is also a co-author of the paper, “An Integrated Analysis of the Association between Accrual Disclosure and the Abnormal Accrual Anomaly,” which was presented at the which was presented at the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) section of an American Accounting Association conference. While attending Penn State, he taught introductory financial and managerial accounting, intermediate accounting, and personal taxation.

Dr. Sbaraglia has more than fifteen years of experience as a professional accountant and is both a Florida certified public accountant (CPA) and a certified management accountant (CMA).
