PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Dr. Johnson is a faculty member of the Department of Finance and Real Estate. His research centers around real estate related issues with recent publications in The Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, The Journal of Housing Economics, The Journal of Real Estate Research, The Appraisal Journal, The Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education, The Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, The Journal of Housing Research, and The Journal of Real Estate Law. In addition, he serves as the Editor of the Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education. In the recent past, Dr. Johnson has served as the Co-Editor of the Journal of Real Estate Literature and as a Special Issue Editor for the Journal of Housing Research.

Dr. Johnson teaches in both the Master of Science in International Real Estate (MSIRE) and the Master of Science in Finance (MSF). He is an active member of the American Real Estate Society and works regularly with the National Association of Realtors®. He is a past member of both the Florida Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors Research Committees. In addition, he has over a decade of applied experience in real estate specializing in the sale of corporate- and lender-owned properties.
